Waxahachie ISD offers free meals to anyone ages 1 to 18

Waxahachie ISD will serve free breakfast and lunch to anyone ages one to 18 on school days until further notice.

This opportunity was made available by the Texas Department of Agriculture through the School Nutrition Program. All students on campus, regardless of income eligibility, will get one free breakfast meal and one free lunch meal per day from the cafeteria.

Meanwhile, all WISD online learners and children ages one to 18 have the opportunity to pick up free meals at Global High School, 275 Indian Drive. The district’s curbside program is open every school day from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Families will receive one breakfast and one lunch per child on the day of the visit. Meal distribution requires children to be in the vehicle to receive free meals.

There are medical exemptions available, which allow parents to pick up meals without students present. Please call the Waxahachie Student Nutrition Department at (972) 923-4630 to discuss qualifying exemptions.

On-campus students will receive meals during their regular meal period at no cost. Snacks, a la carte meal items, and additional entrees will be available to purchase.

If you have any questions, please call the Waxahachie ISD Student Nutrition department, (972) 923-4630.
