Meals for Online Learners

All WISD online learners and children ages one to 18 have the opportunity to pick up free meals at Global High School, 275 Indian Drive.

The district’s curbside program is open every school day from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Families will receive one breakfast and one lunch per child on the day of the visit. Meal distribution requires children to be in the vehicle to receive free meals.

We are incredibly thankful to have a dedicated nursing staff to serve our school community.

Twenty-five percent of public schools in the United States do not have access to a school nurse, and we want to recognize the commitment our nurses make to keep our students healthy.

Sharing a Meal Together

Waxahachie High students commit to U.S. Army

Three Waxahachie High seniors enlisted in the U.S. Army. For some, the decision was based on the fulfillment of a moral or family legacy or to better themselves. But for all of them, it was to serve their country.

Toys for Trevor

WHS and Global HOSA students will be hosting a Toy Drive from Nov. 2-13. This drive is in honor of Trevor Daniel of Greenville, who is currently fighting T-Cell Lymphoma.

During this time of year, Children's Health Cancer and Blood Disorders-Dallas usually has a good supply to provide for the many admissions that come during the upcoming holidays. Due to COVID, there is a shortage of toys.

The hospital is in need of gifts for the holidays and any gift would be greatly appreciated. There will be boxes placed on all WISD campuses at the front office. Our HOSA students will be picking up the toys throughout the drive.
